Hi Jona, Offer stands, but I was thinking of something in the Nijmegen region as that is where I live. A lot of people have probably been to Archeon, but perhaps a special showing at RMO could be organised, getting some hands on experience with the artifacts and the ability to study them up close and get some good data.
Perhaps a good idee to get a preliminary inventory count on those who would be coming, as yet we have only some spontanious reactions, but I am sure the interest is much greater.

Maybe the Bijbels Openlucht Museum with it's nice Cardo?

Nijmegen, the temple at Elst: there's a lot. I am sure I can arrange someone who can speak about the Roman bridge at Cuijk, even though there's nothing to be seen. Let's postpone this a bit: possibilities enough.

Unfortunately, the "Museumpark Orientalis" as the Bijbels Openlucht Museum is called by then will close his doors at the 2th of November, so It's closed. But if there would be enough interest, I could check if I could get some keys to visit the roman Via, with Cardo.

Hi all,
just the formal notification. I'll be there as well. Robert V. and myself were discussing the nuts and bolts of this for a while now, but I neglected to make my attendance known publicly. Now remedied. Cheers, Wim van Broekhoven / Cordvs

Cordvs, you're still alive! Nice to see you on RAT. I'm sure between the Dutch members, we could prepare a good welcome in and around Nijmegen. With any luck, I will be able to present the Nijmegen version of re-enactment heaven (Noviolocus Roman/Batavian theme park) by that time, as well.

Thanks , I'm trying to get the translation up and running. Lots of work!! But then, we hope to attract some sponsors. Any influence on Nijmegen is much appreciated, we need to get a site before all else.

Chances are that I will be defending my PhD thesis right before the RAT conference. The defense is likely to be in English as well.
Just a heads-up in case anyone is interested.
