I have not spent months gathering Hoplites from the four corners of the earth just to let
some Swedish pancake in a purloined panoply lop their lower limbs off!

The enemy is less likely to get wind of an advance of cavalry, if the orders for march were passed from mouth to mouth rather than announced by voice of herald, or public notice. Xenophon

No, I tend to hear most often from those you mention. Ideally, I would like everyone who plans or hopes to come, to use the Festival Forum at
<http://greekfestival.proboards52.com> to stay in touch, get the latest news from me and raise any problems they may have so that we can all look for solutions. Andrew Tarnaris set it up for me and it's under-used.
I'll bet you can guess who's posted there!

Essential information will appear there, some of which I won't be able to post on the Festival Website.

So, all you naughty non-users of the Forum, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

(Isn't it funny how Ancient Egyptians had names like web-addresses? )

At first I thought it was User: Maat Re Setepen Re, then realised what it meant.......
Isn't there another fellow from t'other coast with Egyptian ancestry and an interest in the period....?
