Dando Collins. Is he a fiction writer? I've never heard of him.

Does anyone know whether there are research projects on Mons Graupius at the moment?

What on the actual mountain, or the subject? We were based at a site on the probabble battle field
until the council pulled the plug. Now it is sitting idle and empty.

Poor old Archaeolink. I really liked it: a jewel of a site. Sounds as if the council just couldn't be bothered to make the effort to keep it open. Shame on them. It will be interesting to see how Kleinkastell Pohl (which I shall be visiting in May) and the Chester project fare in the current economic climate.

Can't help feeling you've got a sort of 'Chuck Norris...' meme going there.

Stephen Dando-Collins doesn't care what colour your tunic is. He knows it is pink.

That sort of thing...? :-)

Forgive my ignorance but what actually is a 'meme'?

Spot on! So, to stay on topic, Stephen Dando-Collins doesn't care where you think Mons Graupius was. He knows it is lost. ;-)

A lot of fun could be had... but I suspect it might get litigious so best not take it any further!

Coined by Richard Dawkins in his Selfish Gene days before he became better known for shrill atheism. Basically, an idea or notion that just runs and runs.

Perhaps even better:

Stephen Dando-Collins knows where Mons Graupius was. He simply chooses not to tell anybody

Stephen Dando-Collins doesn't need archaeologists. Tacitus emails him battle reports.
