New late Romans from Mini-Art in 1/72

Well-deserved I say!

Igor, can you tell me what influenced your choices for the ctaphract picture?

I am wondering about the lorica of the central figure - scales on a musculata?
What is that metal plate on his shoulders?
Also, I wonder about the pteryges of all riders, they look like the fringed edge of a subarmalis?

The helmets look especially great, and I like that the second cataphract is using his spatha, instead of yet another lance.

Great drawing!
