Gore\'s Julian
#17
I would be interested in your thoughts about it when you do get around to reading it . . .

Back on topic - I remember reading Gore Vidal's 'Julian' when I discovered Ammianus back in my late twenties (a long time ago now) and loving it - although I was disappointed somewhat in the lack of military action (too much Robert E Howard in my youth). I lost the book in a Uni move and will now seek it out again, I think. I rested up on my shelf alongside Robert Graves 'Count Belisarius' and Waugh's 'Helena', I seem to recall.
