The covers of books are a constant source of amazement. There seem to be lots of editions of Scarrow's books, some of which do use re-enactors. Comitatus cavalry even made it on to one, 300 years out of period. Paul was able to provide a picture of himself for his half fiction half factual book, which beats the efforts of most artists who illustrate novels. But Sidebottom's books rise above the short comings of the cover.
