It will be interesting (and destructive, but coinage is fairly plentiful) to see the result, although I have seen similar analysis on medieval and early modern coinage performed elsewhere; can't quite spot the unique methods they're talking about...is it the combination of methods that is unique, or that it is being performed on imperial roman material?
It's going to be great if their ore-source analysis gets decent results; it's a subject a lot of historians have been arguing over these last ten years.
