Does anyone know what type of shield is he carrying? It has a vertical grip offset to one side and appears to have first vertical bar that the arm goes through. I’ve never seen this type of shield used in Recreation of the early Emperor period.
To me it seems to be a greek shield. An apsis? Goes with the rest of his hellenistic kit.
