Was I in the military? Yep, Navy -- I worked in a tool room in <strong>VAQ-33</strong>, an EW Squadron. It was interesting, but there was a <strong>LOT</strong> of alchohol intake and boredom. I was stationed in Key West, FL, where all there was to do was drink, party and do illegal substances. Oh yeah, that and watch MTV all night long (this being back when MTV actually played <strong><em>music videos</em></strong> and not just rap garbage). Oh yes, and Key West is also the gay capitol of the East Coast of the U.S., and 'twas a big shock to a young guy from a small California town to see guys in dresses, making passes at you, etc. Certainly different...<br>

Perhaps I shoulda went in the Army or Jarhead Corps, but I decided to be a squid. <em>C'est la Vie!</em> Would I do it again? Don't know... perhaps i would just go to college and get in on te Internet on the ground floor ;-)<br>

Anyway, reenacting is more fun, no one can really yell at you, nor can they put you on bread and water for 3 days (which the Navy still can do). And last, if you get mad or someone is "un-nice" you can take your toys and go home ;-Þ Try that in the real military. Besides, the pay is better...<br>
