"Roman invader to stay in Britain

A Roman gravestone found in Lancaster last year has been saved for the nation.

The stone, almost 6ft in height, depicts a mounted trooper holding a sword and the head of a man he has just killed. It was unearthed by archaeologists before the start of development work in the city centre.



The purchase, by Lancaster City Museum, was made possible by a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund, among other sources."

I wonder whether the "other sources" include Her Majesty........?
