So I just got that copy of Constantine Porphyrogenitus from Ildar.
I was thinking about the Origin of the Huns, so I was looking to see if any of the names in the histories of the various steppe peoples he has listed coincided with older texts, particularly regarding the Turks.
I didn't find anything, but I did find something useful:
pg. 177
The Rivers are these: the First river is the Timisis, the second river the Toutis, the third river the Morisis, the fourth river is the Krisos, and again another river, the Titza.
He is describing rivers north of Roman lands on the Danube here, and all of these rivers are supposed to be tributaries of the Danube. I believe Priscus records that they followed the "River Tizga" to find Attila's palace, which has never been found. (Or I may be confusing that with Attila being buried in the River Tizga.)
Anyways Tizga sounds a lot like Titza, the latter of which corresponds to the Tisa:
