Do you have thined the board down towards te edges?
I am not so shure about the shape of the shield, is this copyed from somewhere,
or does have the finds of these peticular iron edgings dictated the shape??

Thanks folks. The shape was determined by the iron reinforcement (the only relic).
Is there an actual design in the museum and I was delivered by Prof. Daniele Vitali (archaeologist). This is the form that he has derived from the excavation.If you translate the page explains the reconstruction and derivation.
For the form, are the indications of the archaeologist.
