Lists of Reenactment Groups Useful?
#3
Avete!

Once in a while I have time to check links on my Legio XX Links page, but that will only tell you if a certain site is actually toast or not. Doesn't tell you a thing about the status of the group, really. Active groups can have dead websites, and an eternal website may be for a dead group. You can try emailing or otherwise contacting the unit to find out, but reenactors are notorious for not answering inquiries! Once in a great while I will actually hear from a group that they are no longer active, so I chop their entry. But in at least one case, I heard just afterwards that one member was going to try to keep the unit active after all!

If you can get me some reliable updates, I'll be happy to fix my Links page. BUT I can't guarantee that I'll get to it SOON...

Valete,

Matthew
