Baldenheim spangenhelms seem to have been popular with Germanic nobles.
According to this article ads.ahds.ac.uk/catalogue/adsdata/PSAS_2002/pdf/vol_094/94_184_195.pdf
there are even Visigothic coins from Spain depicting their kings wearing Baldenheims.

BTW, the article discusses the embossed vine scrolls and other patterns from the known Baldenheims. It has drawings and photos.
