Graham,
I'm not sure which bits you're referring to Graham, but when I was in the line up, there were 10 in the infantry. I counted so I had an idea if we did the dreaded Exi (sp?) There would have been more on Sunday, when a new recruit joined us. I'm afraid both me and Kurt failed to turn up to the opening ceremony as we had what I can only call a 'time malfunction'! But we were there the rest of the day (wouldn't dare otherwise, after being given a special marching session in camp by Andy/Chaos/Caius  ).
Numbers might have looked lower during cavalry shows as at least two of us (including me) were utilised to supply weaponry to the cavalry ... Someone else had to drop out due to injury.
For various reasons, several of the usual line-up were not present, including transport problems. We're all human, and can't make every show. I don't think anyone deliberately opted out of Middlewich because it was in/near the North West. The M62 is always a jolly jape, after all
Sorry you were disappointed. Thousands of others seemed to think we were fine, judging by their applause.
