Another wonderful repro you made here, Vincenzo.
Could you explain how exactly the closing system of the sword scabbard works. As far as I understand you slide together the 2 sides of the scabbard, and then put on the 3rd piece to fix all together, but how does this 3rd piece function? Is it just the pressure this piece has on the 2 pieces of the scabbard, or is it 'clasped' behind some rim on one of the scabbard plates. I'm wondering about this for some time now.

Thanks for the compliments, I'm very happy you like my work.
The two sides of the sheath are separated to make the working of nailing support for the chain and to decorate the front and nailing of the 3rd piece.
The spike is nailed through the two circles above the front plate.
The lower part is inserted to scroll to get stuck in "wedge".
The last inch of scrolling required to exercise pressure to fit in and you're done.
The thrusts of the sword hangs over the back.
I hope I have explained well with the translation of google translator

Without putting a caliper to it, I'd have to say that's as close to an exact copy as I've ever seen. Excellent work, Heph. Purely excellent.

Thanks, you're right I do help me to translate my pages into English, in the meantime you can use Google's online translator, it is not perfect, but he manages to make this clear.
Do me the questions that interest you and will try to answer.
