how do you: late roman baldric - Chuck Russell - 02-16-2007 ok guys, anyone got the scoop on making a late roman baldic? how long the wider leather needs to be, how the smaller leather piece attaches, how it opens to incompass the sword etc?> pictures? please? ThirdC baldrics are around 4-5cm wide at the decorative end, narrowing to a simple leather thong to tie to the back of the phalera. 4thC baldrics seem to be narrow for the entire length (1-2cm?). In the Late Period waist belts are also seen, alongside baldrics.
