Corinthian Crest Boxes - Marcus Germanicus Ferox - 08-04-2006 Good morning fellow Hoplites Am currently making a new crestbox for my helmet. Has anyone got any photos or pictures of alternative paint jobs. Something different from the usual chequer board pattern that we see so much of. I know of a couple of other designs but would like to know if there is anything else out there. Comerus? Stephanos? you guys seem like a good start. Must have historical evidence though. Also am thinking red and white ok or not :? - most seem to be black and white??! Many thanks in anticipation Mark. Re: Corinthian Crest Boxes - Kallimachos - 08-04-2006 As far as I know, nearly anything is possible. Not only the black and white paintings. Here is a pic of my crestbox it's gold and black (don't mention the calender :-) ) ) Re: Corinthian Crest Boxes - hoplite14gr - 08-04-2006 I think the answer is here: http://www.romanarmy.com/rat/viewtopic.php?t=6737 Kind regards |
