Good morning fellow Hoplites

Am currently making a new crestbox for my helmet. Has anyone got any photos or pictures of alternative paint jobs. Something different from the usual chequer board pattern that we see so much of. I know of a couple of other designs but would like to know if there is anything else out there. Comerus? Stephanos? you guys seem like a good start. Must have historical evidence though. Also am thinking red and white ok or not :? - most seem to be black and white??!

As far as I know, nearly anything is possible. Not only the black and white paintings. Here is a pic of my crestbox it's gold and black (don't mention the calender :-) ) )
