1st Century Roman Scabbard Parts. - Pointer - 04-07-2018 Is there any evidence of a metal plate at the mouth of roman scabbards for a Mainz, Fulham, Pompeii, or Spatha? I may not be calling it the proper name, but it would be a plate with the hole that the sword passes through. I am trying to find research or evidence of scabbards with those plates. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Only thing is the locket or band that goes around the top. Regards Brennivs |
