I did a similar thing with my Inveresk book a couple of years ago, allowing a special discount to fellows of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland. Some idea of the likely demand is always a powerful incentive to a publisher; just having the authors tell them it will sell well is seldom convincing (it certainly didn't work with the other publishers we approached for B&C2, largely because of the indifference – or was it ignorance? – of the book clubs ;-).

As for sympathy, I'm going to need it by the time this is finished!

Mike Bishop

Re: Bishop and Coulston edition 2 - Praefectusclassis - 06-26-2004 Pre-order list starts here:
- I want one
Greets

Jasper
Re: Bishop and Coulston edition 2 - aitor iriarte - 06-26-2004 Me too.

Aitor

Re: Bishop and Coulston edition 2 - Anonymous - 06-26-2004 I'm third!
QFA

Re: Bishop and Coulston edition 2 - Anonymous - 06-26-2004 Count me in for one too!

Paulus

Re: Bishop and Coulston edition 2 - Robert Vermaat - 06-26-2004 I was there first!
