Even they are made on wax (in the way they are made in antiquity) they are very beautiful Smile.

After a long pause I decided to recreate again some new model for cingulum buckle.
First in my list is the cingulum from Bonn -Landesmuseum and the similar one to it from Cortesia Museum.

White bronze cast. Original is from tinned bronze.Plate thickness 1,5 mm, The width of the plate is 45 mm ,the length of the plate is 58 mm.

The peak of the plate is hollow from inside to reduce weight. I will put a red paste on peak of the later stage.

I know that the plate must be hammered. There is no problem to be produce steel matrix (for this plate modeland) and to make them on the hammering method. But for now I have not gathered enough information for the QUALITY and CORRECT image reproduction. The exact measurements. A production of the steel matrix is very difficult and COSTLY!

Sulpicius I just can not stop make them Smile.
Cingulum buckles are very beautiful piece of Roman military equipment.
It is a great pleasure to me ,to create them in the most accurate way.
