In essence:
Although there were no excavations that year, "a couple o' hundreds of metal finds" have been made by surface prospection.
According to Dr. Petra Lönne the chief regional archeologist it is not possible as yet to judge whether these finds are of the same importance as the ones previously made , for most parts are still with the restorators.
Furthermore the archeologists have now (officially) applied for fundings through the DFG (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft -- German Society For Research) so that the excavations can commence this year.
