When I watched the movie 'Crash' the other day (I can recommend it), I heard this piece of music.

I did sound a bit familiar.

Where??
Very stylish, but not terribly impressive from a historical point of view (why are marches in films always only infantry marching in rank???). Nice to see some Principate material though!

So, basically, they animated the initial battle sequence from Centurion?

They actually gave the Roman face mask to a barbarian?? Or is that supposed to be Arminius?

it's supposed to be Arminius
Then after the battle, he stripped the silver off it, and threw in on the ground, killed a pack mule on top of it, then had his men pull the rampart over on top of it??
I thought the road in the Varrian disaster was a muddy single-track affair, not a wide "fire break". And I know there were a few bigger engagements, but wasn't the crux of it basically a war of attrition, with small groups of warriors picking off increasingly isolated pockets of soldiers?

Still, if I had a powerful enough computer, and not an office workhorse, I'd snap this game up when it comes out! The stickler in me is seeing plenty of things to nitpick about in these images and trailers, but the game will still be fun, and pretty accurate compared to most popular representations of the period (the Bronze Age depiction of Egypt in the first game was pretty bad, though).
I hate the historical battles too, but that's what custom battles are to make up for. That and mods.

...And now the final faction has been revealed. No surprise to see it's Egypt:

Egypt
I read through all the faction descriptions, and didn't see any mention of Arcani ninjas riding in on flaming war pigs. Perhaps in the expansion?

This draws the line. Time to write a strongly worded letter to the CA executives.
