Hi guys,

Some time ago, they found what I would call a semi-spatha in Woerden, The Netherlands. The blade is only 54 cm long. I am considering making a replica of this sword and scabbard. The grip is all wood, it has been analyzed and is shown to be basswood. So is the wooden scabbard body. The sword is dated second century. If no one wants to pre-order this exact find, I think I will do a "based on" spatha using bronze scabbard fittings. The sword I will do as shown in the attached PDF.
