Salve all,
Since I am a member of RAT and have contact with many of the Roman Reenactment people, I have been asked to forward information on a new reenactment festival in Gettysburg, PA
Reenactor Fest 3
November 30 to December 2, 2007
Eisenhower Hotel, Conference Center & Resort
Gettysburg, PA
website:
http://www.reenactorfest.com
Military timeline event starting with early Roman through the Vietnam war.
These are the same folks that have been putting together the Reenactor Fest in Chicago, IL (I and II) for the past couple of years in February. In my humble opinion, they have done an excellent job with this event both years. They have decided to start one up in Pennsylvania so us northerners don't have so far to travel. The event is held inside so there's no dealing with inclement weather and gear getting wet.
They are wonderful to work with and very much want to have the Roman era represented.
We are planning on attending as vendors.

Gettbysburg should be pretty close to your front door in WV. It's right on the line of MD and WV.

Oh, cry me a river.
You guys have actual sites, and museums that actually have stuff.
Perhaps the armor always shines brighter on the other side of the pond.
On the other hand your always welcome at any of our events.

That would be great! We'd love to have you at Roman Days or any other event, such as Marching Through Time. Keep us informed!

Sounds like the organisers of this "Fest" are being ageist - why else have they excluded us Greeks? (This is a joke -can't get any emoticons to show this).
