Legionaries as builders-question

Need help - general work that considers armies as building force, not just fortifications.
Besides tile stamps, stone blocks and inscriptions on gates are there any other building elements that bear units marks. Lead pipes?

I know that the Caligulan boats of lake Nemi had his inscription on (Gaivs Jvlivs Caesar Avgvstvs Germanicvs) but i'm not sure if that helps at all...

You've pretty much covered everything there, Stefan. Milestones as evidence of road-building?

From memory, I think Ramsay MacMullen discusses army construction work in [amazon]Soldier and Civilian in the Later Roman Empire[/amazon] (1963).
