Our signifer\'s new squamata

He'll hate me for posting pictures of him, but this is our signifer Marcus Donius Suavis wearing his beautiful new Ham Hill squamata (Alternating brass and tinned-brass scales.

The armour was made by Len Morgan.

Hmmmm, personally I like your old one better, but the alternating metals are nice. Shouldn't the scales be offset?

Yes it was, on one of the very few periods when it Wasn't a torrential downpour! Three days of continuous rain!

English Heritage were filming and Svavis did a lengthy interview piece to camera. The boys also did some drill for them which should appear on their websit in the future!
