#1
Greetings,

Can anybody tell me what were the legionary colors of Legio III Gallica during the early Empire?

Or did you mean the equivalent to regimental colors?
Visne partem mei capere? Comminus agamus! * Me semper rogo, Quid faceret Iulius Caesar? * Confidence is a good thing! Overconfidence is too much of a good thing.

Gaius Marcus,

Yes. I meant the equivalent of regimental colors.

Welcome Victor,
as far as I know, legions had no real distinctive colors, but were distinguished by signs and emblems. III Gallica's emblem was a bull, go here and scroll down.

Jona Lendering,

Thank you.

So if I want one soldier to have a red uniform with yellow trim and another soldier to have a green uniform with blue trim, and one soldier to have a purple shield, and another to have a brown shield, then as long as they all have the same legionary emblems and symbols everything is okay, right?
