Quote:Salve Omnes....
I am wondering if this would work and if not what should I do to correct it?
Caius Marius Lupus Brittanicus
Any and all opinions and corrections are appreciated. I would like to get my name down before I continue much further along my path...
Thanks in advance!
Well first of all,
Britannicus would be the correct version.
then it depends on which period you want to represent. I guess late republican early empire is your periode. Otherwise the name would not sound correct and even for that period it would not be especially if you want to portray an ordinary soldier. a surname like britannicus would be more than unlikely for a legionary in the 1st/2nd century CE and a name like
Caius Marius Lupus Brittanicus
is even more unlikely because in this way "britannicus" would be an honorary title not awarded to anyone but an emperor.
You could be Caius Marius Lupus or Caius Marius Britannicus (this one maybe from late 1st ct onwards) as a legionary both together is impossible.
