Oh yes, cool, if finally well done. Just two things, there are two way to make such a thing and just about the "ancient" side of the park:

1) the american way

2) the european way

It's a difference of "philosophy" matter: briefly, in the first case things could be done more "spectacular" and less accurate, in the second case they could be done a little bit less "spectacular" (even if that's a point of views matter) but more accurate. In any case the result is that the Americans finally DO the things (look at the SCA for example...) and make money too, also to keep the thing alive, while often the Europeans simply DON'T (or don't care to make something so). While experiencing the History in a park could be more a european matter, seen the most of the ancient History was done in Europe, and the Europeans have the right feeling given by living just among the Antiquity heritage (and this could be the real problem).

The present historic parks in Europe are fine but limited...

When also the european money will understand that?

MythFaire is a FANTASY Park. It is NOT historically acurate. It is not a living museum.

Myth, Fantasy, Adventure, Imagination, Reenactment and Entertainment

MythFaire is not a theme park.

It is a new Fantasy entertainment experience for the entire family

At its core, MythFaireâ„¢ is both an entertaining vehicle to another time and place and a unique family attraction, which will both, fascinate and illuminate audiences.

It will develop and build familiar images and icons into compelling
and realistic environments for the imagination, transforming 'visitors'
into pro-active participants or delighted observers
who will want to return again and again!

Like being an extra in a major Hollywood “Sword and Sandals’ film epic, a visit to MythFaire is like no other experience in the themed entertainment industry!

Imagine actually experiencing environments and interacting with characters from such films like Gladiator, The Last Samurai, The Lord of the Rings, The Scorpion King, King Arthur, Willow or The Mists of Avalon.

MythFaireâ„¢ is a fresh and exciting new approach to fantasy entertainment and an extraordinary enrichment of the traditional theme park experience.

MythFaire is divided into 6 separate themed lands we refer to as “Villagesâ€

Before the historical purists jump in and slam too hard, really, I think this is a great idea, and I hope it succeeds.

Whether exactly historically accurate or not, it should greatly increase the interest in our hobby, in the same way that a movie on our topics increases the interest in the general public. Overall, I think the big problem in the US with Roman reenacting is the utter lack of broadbased marketing of the idea. I did a little digging, and best I can tell, there are probably around 300 active Romans in the US. We have 300,000,000 people here. Does that say anything? Literally, then, Romans, each of us is one in a million. Frankly, I'd rather be one in a hundred thousand. Imagine the consequences of that!

So if the MythFaire ever gets built, I'll make it a point to go and spend a couple of days there. Why in the world wouldn't I? I go to movies that I know beforehand are going to have historical inaccuracies, and I manage to enjoy myself...how much more if I could actually kit up and walk the set in Roman facsimile land?

I truly think this is something that our legions in the US could greatly benefit from having around, and if we are cooperative and helpful, we could get more than our investment back. Think on it some before yelling "Farby".

OK, moved this to OT where it belongs.

So, basically a mix between history and fairy-tales, but all in the great tradition of Hollywood? I saw many familiar movie images there...

I really hope you bought the rights, because I think showing even parts or names from those films will not come cheap!
