I passed this near Piccadilly today- a late 18th century Mughal "draco", made of gilt copper and cloth. It was apparently carried into battle on an elephant! Originally, it would have had a textile tail that would have been inflated by the wind. It still has a textile "tongue".Looks (to me) like a direct descendant of the Late Roman draco

I have more info on it from the gallery - send me a pm with your email address if you would like more.
Not sure also whether this is the right section of the forum?
