What we should start discusing here....about how you properly need to take mesurement for a pair of greaves?
PS: I think we should ask Arthur aka Athanasios Porporis(Australia), he did the Spartan kit for himself & I'm guessing for his comrades too. So I guess he should know how is the best way to take mesurement 4 greaves.
PS: I wonder if they all are the same size? :roll: :oops:

I asked Athanasios.Waiting for his reply.One good way to take measurments is the one also manning imperial uses,with plaster casts of the legs!

The thing to bear in mind is that the greaves are not tailored to the individual, which is what a complex measuring system does. They're to be mass produced to fit most people, with hopefully the ability to tweak them to your own leg provided Deepeeka use a suitable material. I'd honestly suggest that the simpler the measurements the better.

Athanasios just used his leg's measurment for everyone's legs.Just in some cases he had to make the opening a bit wider because some members had bigger culfs.That's encouraging in my opinion,it means that with a bit of treaming and as you said,with the material's flexibility it would be reasonably good for as many as possible.Athanasios mentioned though that his group's members wear about their size.Olveios from Hoplites Mores bought many pairs from him.I suppose the group's active members could tell if the greaves fit everyone's legs.

However,Tarbicus,a detailed measurment would give you information in the majority of peaples' sizes in not only the leng and the circumference at culf,so the final desight would have as better fitting as possible.Don't you think?
Anyway,Athanasios seems not to have a system or take measurments for everyone's greaves.

Anyway,Athanasios seems not to have a system or take measurments for everyone's greaves.
So long as the greave is anatomically correct with the ability to bend the knee, I don't anticipate a problem. Deepeeka should send one to me for approval first, though.
