Optime!
Thank you for your advise.

I'll try to find it. Maybe I can ask to a member of my group who often came in Germany for his work or to a particular military book shop in Milan.
Anyway, any suggestions (again!) where I can find in the net?

Gratias omnibus!

Note that the offer for 29,90 is for the *first* edition! If you want the new (2nd) edition you will have to pay the ordinary 39,90 for a new copy it seems. Can also be ordered directly at the publisher's website btw.

There is a different cover. And it's priced 29.90 eu. Maybe it's a special offer?

but it doesn't seem to be offered by amazon itself, but rather by other dealers selling through amazon. The 29,90 offer says:

---------
Versand: Auf Lager. Versand aus Germany Internationaler Versand möglich Siehe Versandkosten
Anmerkungen: OVP - neu - First Edition - 270 Seiten
---------

I'd try and contact the seller of any other offer and make sure they sell the new edition (if that is what you want). Or buy from the publisher (same price and sells internationally, too).

Alternatively, I could order it for you and then send it to you to Italy if you have language or other difficulties ordering directly ...

You can also buy a copy at Antik Makler (that is where I bought mine). Here the new edition is offered at 39,90 euros. The website is in German and English; payments can be made through Paypal.

Good luck.

Martin, I appreciate very much your offer. I appreciate twice because I'm a newbie and you guys are fantastic in helping me. Thank you very much!

I'll try, first, to see if I've possibilities here in Italy (like a friend of mine who speaks german for example) or, as the webpages Martijn and Olaf send to me, if I can arrange something myself (I speak a bad english but I can understand it).

That's because I don't want to "disturb" anyone.

But if I can not........ well

Than you again and Valete!

I have both and Das Spiel is far superior . It has a calalogue of 99% of known helmets at the back. I dont have any German at all but think the book worth having, as has been said, just for the pictures.

Gladiators and Caesars is just an English summary put together to be used when an exhibition was touring. Still a nice book though.

Conal, thankyou for your response on the Junklemann book. And because of your guidence, I just ordered the book through Amazon.com and paid $186 in US currency for it. Do you think I should get my head examined by a psychologist, lol? I don't care because I always loved gladiator helmets ever since i was a little boy and I always will until I'm buried in the grave, lol. Thanks again my friend (smiles).
