Yes, I know, the actual story is a sad one.. but I just could not resist when I noticed this one:

Its a shame, but I'm glad that it seems people are doing a good job of pitching in. Anyone else think its funny between the modern and historical usage of Vandal in the article? I read the title and thought "Well, yeah, I'm sure they destroyed a lot of longhouses." Oh my god Vandals have returned and have resumed their raiding. Let the world tremble in fear. Big Grin shock:

Whoa, guys! Let's be creative about this.

How about permanently stationing Vandal re-enactors in buildings like these? When the "vandals" arrive, the Vandal re-enactors can go Dark Age on their ass...

Yeah, where do we get Vandal re-enactors, let alone ones willing to stay days and nights in a Viking longhouse, or a Roman tower, or whatever...but it's a nice thought...

I like the t-shirts that say, "If you're really a Goth, where were you when we sacked Rome?"

I'd do it merely to use a sword on those vandals...

Love the t-shirt anecdote Danno Ulpius! Where might I obtain said t-shirt?

How about "I sacked Rome, and all I got was this lousy T-shirt"?
