One addition for the Type A:
Provenience: unknown
Location: Gen-Hashlosha (Israel), Museum of Regional and Mediterranean Archaeology (Inv.-Nr. IAA 72-5683)
Details: opposed boars, one plume holder broken off, small cracks in the neck guard, a small piece missing. Rough, light green and brownish patina.

Have any of these helmets survived with cheek-pieces intact, or at least hinges for them? I have seen it asserted that this type of helmet never had cheek-pieces.

None of the known Apulo-Corinthian helmets was fitted with cheek-pieces.
They have single holes at the sides to attach chin-straps.
But as all the found examples date between the late 6th to 4th Century BC
it is quite possible that later helmets would have been fitted with cheek-pieces (as depicted in art). Perhaps the Romans made this modification in the later 4th or 3rd Century BC.
All in all it is doubtful if the Romans made greater use of the type on the whole because compared with the about 80 Montefortino-Type helmets believed to be Roman (Subtypes Rieti and Buggenum) there are no examples dating later as the 4th Century BC.
