Go through the Legio XX page of links...there are more there that have good sites with tons of information than you'll have time to probably read.

Personally, I think so, whereas I'm sure others would not. I'd suggest a Search on RAT using his name and see what the consensus is.

A lot of your book choices will depend on your interests. There are plenty to go around.
Personally, I would add Dixon's The Roman Cavalry. Then again, cavalry is my biggest interest and most other books seem to concentrate on the infantry. Infantry was the core, after all.
