Result: Sheer Roman victory;
Roman strength and casualties are unknown.

Bosporan War.
Date: 45-49 AD;
Location of Uspa fortress: the Chirpily River, Azov Sea coast of the Kuban area;
Combatants: some Roman cohortes, Bosporan army under King Cotys of Bosporus, and the Aorsi Sarmatian cavalry (as Roman allies) versus ex-Bosporan King Mithradates VIII and the Siraces Sarmatians under their kinglet Zorsin;

Hi Adam!
The sources for these Roman military expeditions as follows:
1. for the Bosporan War 45 – 49 AD: Tacitus. The Annals, XII, 15-18.//and some articles of the Russian archaeologists and historians (on the Siraces` Uspa fortress localization, in general).
2. for the Plautius Silvanus expedition to Chersones of Taurica, between 63-68 AD – many articles of some Ukrainian , Russian, and the others historians, such as – Rostovtzev, Blavatsky, Zubar, Avdeev, Shelov, Kadeev, Grakov, Vinogradov, Stein, Gerov, Zavadski, Conole, Miln, Karishkovsky, and the others…
Best regards,
Gennadius.

The primary evidence is, of course, Dessau ILS 986, the wonderful epitaph of Ti. Plautius Silvanus Aelianus.
