I second that! I walked Hadrian's Wall with Len a couple of years ago. He set us a (literally) blistering pace!! He kept his full kit on for the entire 70 mile walk.

Yep, I climbed Carrantwohill with Len last year. Now Carrantwohill is the tallest mountain in Ireland and a right bugger of a climb as half of it is near vertical over large broken boulders. We did it in about 5 and a half hours that's good going even for young one's never mind us geriatrics!

By the way, just as a demonstration of our manliness, we did this on two small bottles of water and a Mars bar :lol: Of course I didn't need much of the Mars bar...

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, we wore full kit, furca's bed rolls shields and everything :wink:

Anyone Know where Len is at the moment? If I don't make it to Lunt this weekend, I may try and track him down to cheer him on?
