Soldering
#1
Salve,

Probing diferents kinds of solders, i can hardly recommend to use silver solder instead of tin.

Tin is hardly more dificult to control, the piece have to be very clean and the fundent used sometimes burns and carbonizes and dificult the soldering. Tin often goes were you don't want, making little balls and spots.

Silver need more heat, and use borax, that it's cleaner, and easy to clean with water. The solder it's dramatically stronger than tin. Now i'm working in solder chains, and tin brokes easy...

If you want, i can put some pictures of the soldering proces.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you want to say, but it seems to me you are mixing up 2 similar but in effect different things here, namely soldering and brazing. If you want to achieve a durable joint of two metalls you have to use brazing. For details see e.g.
