It\'s all an accident, an accident of hands. Mine, others, all without mind, from one extreme to another, but neither works nor will ever.

The enemy is less likely to get wind of an advance of cavalry, if the orders for march were passed from mouth to mouth rather than announced by voice of herald, or public notice. Xenophon

Tony, welcome to RAT. Good to have you aboard.

How is Fronto getting on with his Sarmation kit so far? The last time I asked he told me he had ordered some helmets and was a third of the way through making a copy of one of the Dura horse trappers. He didn't mention swords but I was aware of the work you were doing for him by then anyway.

For details of another ring pommell sword, you could contact Stephen Cockings of the II Augusta. A little under a year ago he showed me one he had bought in an antiquities auction. The blade was not in particularly good condition but appeared still to be the original length, which would have been fourteen to eighteen inches from memory. He could tell you more. Unfortunately I do not have a contact for him but some others here might.
