impact tests: blade weapons vs. different materials
#1
Avete omnes,

when checking my bookmarks, I found some old but still nice testing video clips from thearma.org (renaissance martial arts).

They tested impacts of different weapons (mainly blade weapons including a Norman sword) on leather, cloth/gambeson, chainmail, meat, wood and plate (including a Norman helmet).

So if you don’t know these classical clips– enjoy!

Quantum materiae materietur marmota monax si marmota monax materiam possit materiari?

ha, i know those ones. Our sword-instructor showed them too. Very cool to watch but it says more about the person then the weapon.

I would rather have fire storms of atmospheres than this cruel descent from a thousand years of dreams.

any weapon can be made as sharp a possible but it takes a very experienced person to make those cuts.
