How did they make this pugio scabbard?

Very impressive! I only hope I can do as well when I finally get around to engraving my sheath plate. Laud point given.

One small point: when you rework the sheath, please add a rivet (preferably with a largish head) through the centre of the terminal expanion. All of the surviving examples which have retained their terminal expansions (apart from the Exeter frame sheath) which I am aware of show evidence of having been pierced by a rivet.
