And it would most likely be much more time-consuming to make. Sad

Wheat and barlesy berries by the pound, somewhat seasonal, also different types of wheat berries.

Thinking aloud here, I wouldn't always recommend seed wheat. Sometimes they spray the husks with chemicals to help prevent rot, encourage sprouting, discourage insects. Some seed grains are not suitable to eat.

How many pounds do you want? I can get several varieties of wheat, and box it up and ship it up to you in plenty of time for Lafe. A pound of wheat yields, well, a pound of whole wheat flour, more or less. Lemme know off group, and I'll help you out, if you still need help.

I ordered 100 pounds of wheat and 20 pounds of dried fruit for Lafe, that should be more than enough! I still haven't gone and photographed or weighted and measured my quern, it's too cold outside! Confusedhock:

Maybe the britons at Lafe can use any excess wheat to plant crops...

If you sew it in the field, it will probably grow, no kidding. They could also use it as sling ammo. Might not hurt much, but it would go all over the place, so that's worth something. I guess. Or using a reed from the pond, could use it like a pea shooter. Or really a wheatberry shooter. Remember to wear your eye protection! Safety first!

Glad you found the grain. You know, now that I think of it, they could grow wheat grass, and sell wheat grass juice...might start a trend!
