Phrygian Cap
#1
Hey gang,

So, I was thinking about putting together a Greek light infantry getup for the odd greek event, as well as my own personal enjoyment in shooting the bow and throwing the javelin. I think I read something somewhere about the Phrygian cap being worn by some types of light infantry. If I recall, it was a leather hat type thing, and shaped somewhat like the phrygian helmet. Furthermore, I'm just a fan of skullcap type things, like toboggans, etc, and it'd be cool to have one that goes in with the ancient world. If anybody could supply some info in this, I'd be grateful. Of course, it is entirely possible that I may just be crazy.

Also, while we're here, what kind of javelins are suitable for use as a peltast? Any good resources for making a pelta shield?
