Antonine Wall to be extended
#1
The UK government are making an(other?!) attempt to get the Antonine Wall on the World Heritage Site list. However, the wording of the press release would seem to imply that some modifications to the structure will be necessary:

Quote:If successful, the Wall will join The Tower of London, Canterbury Cathedral, The Palace of Westminster and the other 24 UK World Heritage Sites.

Does nobody read this stuff before they send it out?

It\'s all an accident, an accident of hands. Mine, others, all without mind, from one extreme to another, but neither works nor will ever.

Yes, but it will have to spell out the name of a major sponsor (say, a major gambling company?). It will be renamed the People's Antonine Wall.

Offa's Dyke? Might be a quick way for Offa to get a peerage ;-)
