Here some pictures from our Thraex-Sicca (children-version)! They are made from ash! A phantastic wood, which is extremely tough.

Nice sica. I carved mine out of red oak (painted up to look like metal) based on Junklemann's dimensions. No photos unfortunately, but it can be seen on a You-Tube video somebody posted (called "Gladiators at Fernbank")
