Stilicho and the Late Period
#1
Jsut wondering if anyone would be interested in discussing this area. I"m getting ready to host a dinner party and will post some interesting information later on. BTW anyone read the Jack Whyte books? Rather interesting for historical fiction.

But of course. Extremely interesting period, in which the Western Roman Empire miscalculated (which we can smugly say with 20-20 hindsight) and actually delegated the Empire away to the new germanic lords.

Jack Whyte? Not particulary historical, total fantasy with a Late Roman flavour. But I have all the Camulod books of course.
