Other than the finds of hippo sandals, was there any other type of hoof protection for horses? Some websites say the Celts were nailing shoes to horses around the first century, but no one says any actual horse shoes have been found.

The discussion is still open, there is a river depot found from NEUPOTZ whit 13 U horseshoe's for nailing ( first half 3AD)
and an iron depot in WALDMöSSINGEN where 4 horseshoes where found
corroded together with the other finds.
