nice pics! What helmets are these from? Are all bronze.brass, or are some iron?

Unz and Drecshler-Erb's Vindonissa catalogue states that they are from Coolus type helmets, although given their shapes I see no good reason why they should not have belonged Imperial Gallic helmets, as Vindonissa has produced plenty of evidence for these. The catalogue does not state what they are made of but I think it it reasonable to assume they are copper alloy. Other cheek guards in the catalogue are specifically noted as iron. They certainly look to be copper alloy from Primvs' photo.

From memory, and looking at the photos I believe they were all copper alloy.

The piece at top left is very similar indeed to the Aquincum Gallic I and the Guttman Gallic I variant.
